Rays report: Hosting Twins on St. Patrick's Day, 1:05
UPDATE, 9:53: RHP Kevin Gadea, the Rule 5 pick from Seattle, has a sore elbow, and said he had an MRI, was diagnosed with tendinitis and will be sidelined at least four weeks. That likely means he stays with the Rays and ends up on the 60-day DL, which will open a roster spot. ... Cash said OF Colby Rasmus (hip, core muscle surgery) is progressing and could start getting DH at-bats by early next week. ... RHP Brad Boxberger (lat/back) will throw a live BP and expects to pitch in a minor-leage game on Tuesday, planning to be ready for opening day. ... With Logan Morrison at the top of the order today, Cash said they are still looking at leadoff options but may end up with a job share, with different looks vs. right- and left-handed pitchers.
