Abandoned Property Notice
Rifle made by Nicanor Kendall loaned by Rev. Frederick Barnby Leach, Tampa, FL. has been deposited at the Vermont Historical Society without proof of title. We request that any person who has knowledge of the whereabouts of the heirs of Rev. Leach, last known owner of the rifle, provide written notice to the museum. If title is not presented by the owner(s) of the rifle to the museum by 30 June 2026, the property shall be considered abandoned or donated and shall become the property of the museum.
