FLORIDA STATUTES, RENEWING THE COUNTY’S ELECTION
TO NOT EXEMPT PROPERTY UNDER SECTION 196.1978(3)(d)1.a., FLORIDA STATUTES, COMMONLY KNOWN ASTHE “LIVE
LOCAL ACT PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION”.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Hillsborough County, Florida, intends to consider for the purpose of enactment, the following resolution at a public meeting beginning on December 17, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., in the Hillsborough County Board Room located on the 2nd Floor of the Frederick B. Karl County Center, 601 East Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa, Florida:

A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO SECTION 196.1978(3)(o), FLORIDA STATUTES, RENEWING THE COUNTY’S ELECTION TO NOT EXEMPT PROPERTY UNDER SECTION 196.1978(3)(d)1.a., FLORIDA STATUTES, COMMONLY KNOWN ASTHE “LIVE LOCAL ACT PROPERTY TAX EXEMPTION”.

The Board of County Commissioners will consider adoption of the resolution at its meeting on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, which begins at 9:00 am. This is not a public hearing, but the Board sets aside time for public comment at the beginning of the meeting. Speakers may sign up to speak either in-person or virtually by completing the form at HCFL.gov/speakup up to 48 hours prior to the meeting, or speakers may sign up in person the day of the meeting in the lobby of the Frederick B. Karl County Center located at 601 E. Kennedy Blvd. in downtown Tampa. Assistance will be available on-site between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sign-ups for both virtual and in-person public speaking opportunities for public comments close at 9 a.m. on the day of the meeting. Speakers, both virtual and in-person, will be called on in the order of when the speaker sign-up form is submitted.

ANY PERSON WHO MIGHT WISH TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS REGARDING ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT THE FORTHCOMING PUBLIC MEETING IS HEREBY ADVISED THAT HE OR SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND FOR SUCH PURPOSE HE OR SHE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE WHICH WILL INCLUDE THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
