NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Transfer of property rights
Pursuant to Hillsborough County’s Jan K. Platt ELAP Program Ordinance 08-16, Section 8, the Board of County Commissioners will hold a Public Hearing to consider the transfer of certain access and utility rights within the Stacy R. White Nature Preserve (“Preserve”) to the Water Resources Department (“WRD”) in exchange for the sum of $374,893.00 (the “Compensation”). The Compensation will be used for habitat restoration activities throughout the remainder of the Preserve. Hillsborough County (the “County”) will consider adoption of a Resolution designating approximately 7.6-acres of the 441-acre Preserve for the One Water – South Wastewater Conveyance and Treatment Project. The Resolution identifies the final location of a new pump station on 4 acres of existing WRD property and grants the WRD access and utility rights over 3.6 acres of adjacent Preserve property for the purpose of installing underground pipelines, establishing vehicular access to the pump station, and constructing a stormwater pond.

The transfer of access and utility rights to the WRD covers approximately 3.6 acres of disturbed lands within the Preserve, being generally located as follows:
