NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The City of Dade City proposes to hear and approve the following ordinances on the following dates and times:

ORDINANCE 2026-XX
AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DADE CITY, FLORIDA, UPDATING AND AMENDING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DADE CITY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SCRIVENER’S ERRORS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

On February 10, 2026 at 5:30 p.m., the City Commission will hold the first public hearing at City Commission Chambers, 38020 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, Florida, to consider amendments to the Land Development Regulations as outlined in Exhibit A of the ordinance.

On February 24, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., the City Commission will hold the second public hearing at City Commission Chambers, 38020 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, Florida, for the final approval of the amendments to the Land Development Regulations as outlined in Exhibit A of the ordinance.

Information concerning these matters are on file and also available for examination through the Dade City Community and Economic Development office, 38020 Meridian Avenue, Dade City FL 33525, Monday through Friday, during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please contact (352) 523-5052 to request an appointment to view the documents, submit written comments or evidence prior to the public hearing, or to discuss any questions or concerns regarding the proposed amendment to the Land Development Regulations as outlined in Exhibit A of the ordinance. All affected parties are advised to appear and be heard. Only those persons who have land adjacent to the land subject to the application is an affected party in accordance with the requirements of the Dade City Land Development Regulations shall be qualified as affected parties for the purpose of examining witnesses during the noted public hearings. Should any interested party seek to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such meetings, they will need a record of the proceedings, and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which an appeal is based pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes.
