24-C-00019 Design-Build Services for the
Tampa Fire Rescue Fire Station #24
Kokolakis Contracting is soliciting subcontractor bids for 24-C-00019 Design-Build Services for the Tampa Fire Rescue Fire Station #24. This is a Design Build project with pre-qualification requirements and SBE goals. We encourage all subcontractors to contact the Kokolakis Preconstruction Department to obtain the project documents after bidding period begins on March 19, 2026.
The new Fire Station #24 Building will be located at 4902 East Whiteway Drive near Greco Park in the city of Tampa. The project consists of a 17,500 sf single story tilt-up concrete building with four vehicle apparatus bays as well as a three-story training tower. The building also includes administrative offices, fitness room, day room, dorm rooms, laundry and equipment maintenance and storage; pavement facilities will include access roads, parking area for POVs, circulation around the facility and extensive sitework; utilities include extended water distribution, sanitary sewage collection/pumping, natural gas, and electrical distribution systems to primary facilities, as well as, information systems, basic telephone, computer network connectivity, fiber optics, security and fire alarm systems.

Drawings and specifications will be issued via SmartBid. Instructions on how to submit bids will be included in the bid packages once released.
Kokolakis Contracting and the City of Tampa endeavor to maximize participation of Small Business Enterprises in their projects. Each bidder should strive to meet or exceed the minimum percentage goals established. Kokolakis Contracting will comply with the City of Tampa’s Equal Business Opportunity Program and Procedures.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within a period of one hundred and eighty (180) days after bid date.
The Construction Manager reserves the right to waive any formalities, technicalities, or irregularities in; or reject any or all bids; or to re-advertise for bids and award or refrain from awarding the Contract for the work.
Kokolakis Contracting, on behalf of the City of Tampa, in accordance with the provisions of Section 287.133, Florida Statutes shall affirm that “A person of affiliate who has been placed on the convicted Vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a bid on a contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity, may not submit a bid on a contract with a public entity for the construction or repair of a public building or public work, may not submit bids on leases of real property to public entity, may not be awarded or perform work as a contractor, supplier, subcontractor, or consultant under a contract with any public entity, any may not transact business with any public entity in excess of the threshold amount provided in Section 287.017, for CATEGORY TWO for a period of 36 months from the date of being placed on the convicted vendor list.”
