NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the PASCO COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS will hold a public hearing on March 24, 2026, at 1:30 p.m., at the West Pasco Government Center, Board Room, First Floor, 8731 Citizens Drive, New Port Richey, Florida, to consider the following matter:

AN ORDINANCE BY THE PASCO COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE IV, DIVISION 2, OF THE PASCO COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO PURCHASING; PROVIDING FOR CHANGES AND ADDITIONS TO DEFINITIONS OF TERMS; PROVIDING FOR CHANGES IN PURCHASING LIMITS INCLUDING DURING EMERGENCIES AND FOR MODIFICATIONS; ADDING PURCHASING PROCESS FOR DECLARED EMERGENCIES; DELEGATION OF AUTHORITY FOR CONTRACT RENEWALS; AUTHORIZING SOLICITATIONS FOR MULTIPLE AWARD TASK ORDER CONTRACTS AND REQUESTS FOR QUALIFIED QUOTES; SPECIFYING NOTICE FOR INVITATIONS FOR NEGOTIATION; PROVIDING FOR CHANGES TO LOCAL PREFERENCE; CREATING EXEMPTIONS FOR EXCLUDED INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS, FOOD AND VENUE RENTALS; PROVIDING FOR CHANGES TO UNAUTHORIZED PURCHASES; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS OF INTEREST AND DEBARMENT REGARDING COUNTY EMPLOYEES INVOLVED IN SOLICITATIONS AND AWARDS; PROVIDING CHANGES TO BID PROTEST PROCEDURE AND AMOUNT OF PROTEST BOND; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Information concerning this matter will be on file and available for examination at the County Attorney’s Office, 8731 Citizens Drive, Suite 340, New Port Richey, Florida, or on the County’s website: www.pascocountyfl.gov, three days before the public hearing under the tab Government and select “Agendas & Minutes.” For further information, you may call 800-368-2411 and request to be connected to County Attorney’s Office.

All interested parties may attend the said public hearing and be heard regarding these issues, and to file written objections with the Board of County Commissioners, at the County Attorney’s Office address above, before the public hearing. All interested persons in support of, or opposed to, the resolution are invited to attend the public hearing and give comment. To participate in this hearing virtually, you must pre-register by 4 PM the day prior to the meeting by calling Customer Service at (727) 847- 2411 or, visit the County’s website www.pascocountyfl.net, select the Government tab, then select “Agendas & Minutes”, then select “Public Comment Options”.

Any person who wants to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners with respect to any matter considered at any meeting or public hearing will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made at their own expense, and which record includes the testimony and evidence on which the appeal is to be based.
