NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
LEGAL NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of Dade City, Florida will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the City Commission Chambers at the City Hall 38020 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, Florida, beginning at 5:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the ordinance may be heard, and will consider the adoption of the ordinance.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DADE CITY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY’S CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO MICROMOBILITY DEVICES; AMENDING CHAPTER 94 – TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES, TO ESTABLISH ARTICLE V – OPERATION OF MICROBOBILITY DEVICES; ESTABLISHING SECTIONS 94-121 – PURPOSE AND AUTHORITY, 94-122 – DEFINITIONS, 94-123 – ROADWAY USE AND PUBLIC SIDEWALKS, 94-124 – AGE AND HELMET REQUIREMENTS, 94-125 – ENFORCEMENT AND PENALTIES, AND 94-126 - RENTAL DEVICE REGULATIONS; PROVIDING FOR LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS AND INTENT; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION AND SCRIVENER’S ERRORS; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The full text of the ordinance can be obtained from the City Clerk in City Hall, located at 38020 Meridian Avenue, and may be inspected by the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. All interested parties may appear at the public hearing and may be heard with respect to the proposed ordinance, or may submit written comments to the City Commission at P.O. Box 1355, Dade City, Florida 33526-1355 by mail, or in person at the above referenced address. PLEASE NOTE: This is a public hearing should any interested party seek to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such hearing, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose, they will need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes.
