NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CITY OF PORT RICHEY CITY COUNCIL

The City Council of the City of Port Richey, Florida, will hold a public hearing for the second reading of Ordinance No.25-728 on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, at City Hall, 6333 Ridge Road, Port Richey, Florida, to consider the adoption of the following amendment to the City’s Comprehensive Plan:

ORDINANCE NO. 25-728
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF PORT RICHEY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN (ORDINANCE NO. 88-382, AS AMENDED) TO UPDATE THE TRANSPORTATION ELEMENT, INFRASTRUCTURE ELEMENT, CONSERVATION AND COASTAL MANAGEMENT ELEMENT, INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATION ELEMENT; AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS ELEMENT; ESTABLISHING TWO PLANNING PERIODS CONSISTENT WITH SECTION 163.3177, FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CITY OF PORT RICHEY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Ordinance No. 25-728 proposes amendments to the City of Port Richey Comprehensive Plan to ensure consistency with Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, based on the City’s Evaluation and Appraisal review and the Evaluation and Appraisal Notification letter issued by the Florida Department of Commerce on July 6, 2023.

All documents related to the proposed amendment are available for public inspection at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 6333 Ridge Road, Port Richey, Florida, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Interested parties may appear and be heard at the public hearing or may submit written comments to the City Clerk prior to the hearing. If a person decides to appeal any City Council decision, he or she will need to arrange for a verbatim record of the proceedings.
