Coastal Pulmonary & Critical Care, PLC announces the retirement of Warren R. Abel, MD,FCCP, FACP, effective June 30, 2026. All current patients will continue to receive care from one of our physicians or mid-level providers to ensure uninterrupted treatment and support. Patient medical records will remain securely maintained at our current office location: 2639 Dr. ML King Jr. St. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33704. As always, patient records are available upon request for patients or for transfer to another physician should a change in care provider be desired. On a personal note, it has been my privilege to provide care to the patients of this community for the past 31 years and for 4 years prior in the Atlanta area. I wish to thank all of the patients and their families for the opportunity to participate in their care. Additionally, I wish to thank all of the Nurses, Respiratory Therapists, Social Service Professionals, Radiology, and Laboratory Personnel without whose teamwork critical care delivery would not be possible. I wish to thank my office staff as well as my fellow Coastal Pulmonary Physicians, and Mid-Level Providers who I am quite confident will continue to provide excellent office and hospital-based care to our patients.
