NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will hold a public hearing at the Historic Pasco County Courthouse, Board Room, 2nd Floor, 37918 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, Florida 33525, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 1:30 PM, to consider adoption of the following ordinance:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PARKS, RECREATION, AND NATURAL RESOURCES MUNICIPAL SERVICE TAXING UNIT; PROVIDING FOR MUNICIPALITIES TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE BOUNDARIES UPON CONSENT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The Ordinance will amend Ordinance No. 25-27 to allow municipalities to be included within the boundaries of the Municipal Service Taxing Unit, upon consent by each municipality electing to be included. The Ordinance, and information concerning this matter, is on file and available for examination in the offices of the Parks, Recreation and Natural Resources Department, 4111 Land O’Lakes Boulevard, Suite 303, Land O’Lakes, Florida, or by contacting the department at (813) 929-2760, or on the Pasco County website www.pascocountyfl.net, three days before the public hearing, under the link “Government” then “Agendas & Minutes” then “Public Comment Options.”

All affected parties have a right to appear at this public hearing, to be heard regarding these issues, and to file written objections with the BCC, at the address above, before the public hearing. All interested persons in support of, or opposed to the vacation, are invited to attend the public hearing and give comment. Any person who wants to appeal any decision made by the BCC with respect to any matter considered at any meeting or public hearing will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made at their own expense, and which record includes the testimony and evidence on which the appeal is to be based.
