Notice of Public Hearings
Public hearings will be held by the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, pursuant to Section 163.3162, Florida Statutes, beginning at 9:00 a.m., August 11, 2026, at the Board Room, 2nd floor of the County Center, 601 E. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, FL 33602 to hear the following requests for certification as Agricultural Enclaves. Virtual participation in this public hearing is available through communications media technology, as described below.
All interested parties are invited to appear at the meeting and be heard with respect to the proposed certifications as Agricultural Enclaves. This will be a hybrid meeting. All interested parties may appear virtually or in person. Virtual participation in this public hearing is available through communications media technology, as described below. All meeting facilities are accessible in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Any additional necessary accommodations will be provided with a 48-hour notice. If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the Board of County Commissioners in regard to any matter considered at such meeting or hearing, such person will need a record of the proceedings, including all testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. To that end, such person will want to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made.

Anyone who wishes to appear virtually to speak at the public hearing will be able to do so by completing the online Public Comment Signup Form found at: https://HillsboroughCounty.org/SpeakUp. You will be required to provide your name and telephone number on the online form. This information is being requested to facilitate the conferencing process. Speakers must have access to a communications media device (such as a tablet or computer equipped with a camera and microphone) that will enable the speaker to be seen (video) and heard (audio). The Chair will call on speakers by name in the order in which they have completed the online Public Comment Signup Form. Prioritization is on a first come, first-served basis. Participation information will be provided to participants who have completed the form after it is received by the County. All callers will be muted upon calling and will be unmuted in the submission order after being recognized by the Chair by name. Up to three (3) minutes are allowed for each speaker. Signups for the public hearing will not be accepted after 8:30 AM on the day of the hearing. Public comments offered using communications media technology will be afforded equal consideration as if the public comments were offered in person. The public can listen and view the public hearing live in the following ways:

The meeting is open to the public and will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Florida law applicable to the Board of County Commissioners. The meeting may be continued in progress without additional notice to a date, time, and place (either physical, telephonic, or virtual) to be specified on the record at the meeting.
