NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will hold a public hearing at the West Pasco Government Center Board Room, 1st Floor, 8731 Citizens Drive, New Port Richey, Florida 34654 on August 25, 2026, at 1:30 PM, to consider a petition submitted by James K. Rau and Donna Rau to vacate the following platted right-of-way:
A portion of the undeveloped right-of-way labeled Rocky Drive on Plat Book 6 Page 42, otherwise described as follows:
Begin at the Southeast corner of Lot 15, Decarolis Villas, according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 6, Page 42, of the Public Records of Pasco County, Florida, also being a point on the Westerly right of way line of Rocky Drive; Thence N89°54’59”E a distance of 50.05’, along the Southerly boundary of said plat to the Southwest corner of Lot 18, also being a point on the Easterly right of way line of Rocky Drive; Thence N00°05’46”W a distance of 215.57’ to the Northwest corner of Lot 17; thence S89°56’44”W 49.98’ to the Northeast corner of Lot 14; thence S00°04’40”E 215.60’, along the Westerly right of way line of Rocky Drive, to the Southeast corner of Lot 15 and the point of beginning. Together with internal lot lines between Lots 14-15 and Lots 17-18.
All affected parties have a right to appear at this public hearing, to be heard regarding these issues, and to file written objections with the BCC, at the address above, before the public hearing. All interested persons in support of, or opposed to the vacation, are invited to attend the public hearing and give comment. Any person who wants to appeal any decision made by the BCC with respect to any matter considered at any meeting or public hearing will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made at their own expense, and which record includes the testimony and evidence on which the appeal is to be based.
