The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Brooksville will hold a Public Meeting in the Joseph E. Johnston, III, City Hall Council Chambers, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, Florida, on August 12, 2026 at 5:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting is a request to review Ordinance 1018 regarding proposed changes to the Brooksville Land Development Code, Article IV, Part 4-5 “LANDSCAPE AND TREE PROTECTION REGULATIONS” The ordinance in its entirety may be obtained in the Community Development Department Office at City Hall, 201 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CITY OF BROOKSVILLE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, ARTICLE IV, PART 4-5, SECTION 4-5.6 “SPECIMEN TREES”TO DIVIDE THIS CATEGORY WITH SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE CONDITIONS, SECTION 4-5.10. “RESIDENTIAL LANDSCAPING”, TO CLARIFY THAT REQUIRED TREES DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS MITIGATION, SECTION 4-5.13 “LANDSCAPE MATERIAL” TO REQUIRE COMPLIANCE VERIFICATION BEFORE LANDSCAPE INSPECTION; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
