NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING FOR THE FLORIDA GOVERNMENTAL UTILITY AUTHORITY’S (FGUA’S) SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATION FOR HURRICANES HELENE AND MILTON AND HAWAI’I WILDFIRES (SAHM) STATE REVOLVING FUND (SRF) FACILITIES PLAN RELATED TO THE MACDILL AIR FORCE BASE (AFB) WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT RESILIENCY PROJECT
The Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA) gives notice that a public meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 6pm to provide for public participation in review and evaluation of the Facilities Plan to be submitted to the Supplemental Appropriation for Hurricanes Helene and Milton and Hawai’i Wildfires (SAHM) State Revolving Fund (SRF) loan program in support of the proposed FGUA Wastewater Treatment Plant Resiliency Project. The FGUA is planning to upgrade the existing Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB), providing for the design and phased construction of the following work:
• Elevation and hardening of critical facilities
• New treatment components and power delivery improvements
• Improved headworks and flow equalization
• Effluent disposal via deep injection well
All interested parties are invited to attend the public meeting which will be held in the Tournament Room at the MacDill AFB Golf Course Clubhouse, 1803 Golf Course Ave, Tampa, FL 33621, at the day/time identified above. All persons wishing to speak will be given an opportunity to do so following a brief presentation. The draft Facilities Plan will be available for review at the meeting.
