NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR AMENDMENTS TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO COMPLY WITH FLORIDA LAWS
THE TOWN OF ST. LEO, FLORIDA, PROPOSES TO ADOPT:

ORDINANCE NO. 27-02

THE TOWN OF ST. LEO TOWN COMMISSION WILL CONDUCT A PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED ORDINANCE PURSUANT TO SECTION 166.041, FLORIDA STATUTES, ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE TOWN OF ST. LEO ZONING MAP TO REZONE APPROXIMATELY 289 ACRES LOCATED SOUTH OF COUNTY ROAD 52 AND WEST OF SHAKESPEARE TRAIL FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (MDR), AGRICULTURAL (AG). AND PERMANENTLY OPEN LAND (POL) TO PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) TO ALLOW THE DEVELOPMENT OF MOHR’S CROSSING CONTAINING A MAXIMUM OF 628 ATTACHED AND DETACHED SINGLE FAMILY HOMES; PROVIDING FINDINGS OF FACT; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

A public hearing on this Ordinance will be held by the Local Planning Agency and Town Commission on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. or soon thereafter.

The hearings will be held in Town Hall at 34544 County Road 52, St. Leo, FL 33574.

Copies of the proposed Amendments may be viewed by the public at Town Hall at 34544 County Road 52, St. Leo, FL 33574 from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The public is invited to attend these meetings and/or submit written comments to the Town’s Clerk’s office regarding the Amendments.

If any person decides to appeal any decision made by this Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, he/she will need a record of the proceeding, and that for such purposes he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
