NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The City of Dade City proposes to hear and approve the following ordinances on the following dates and times:
ORDINANCE NO. 2026-22

AN ORDINANCE BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF DADE CITY, FLORIDA, IMPOSING A MORATORIUM ON THE SUBMISSION AND ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS FOR BUILDING PERMITS, SITE PLANS, DEVELOPMENT ORDERS, DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS, SPECIAL EXCEPTION USES, CONDITIONAL USES, REZONINGS, AND COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENTS RELATED TO DATA CENTERS, LARGE-SCALE DATA CENTERS AND OTHER LARGE LOAD CUSTOMERS WITHIN THE TOWN LIMITS OF THE CITY OF DADE CITY, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR FINDINGS OF FACT; PROVIDING PURPOSE; PROVIDING FOR APPLICATION; PROVIDING DEFINITIONS; IMPOSING TEMPORARY MORATORIUM; PROVIDING FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION; PROVIDING PROCESS FOR EXTENSION; PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT, PENALTY, AND INJUNCTIVE RELIEF; REPEALING LAWS IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

On October 13, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., the City Commission will hold the first public hearing at City Commission Chambers, 38020 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, Florida, for the approval of the data center moratorium.

On October 27, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., the City Commission will hold the second and adoption public hearing at City Commission Chambers, 38020 Meridian Avenue, Dade City, Florida, for the final approval of the data center moratorium.

Should any interested party seek to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such meetings, they will need a record of the proceedings, and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which an appeal is based pursuant to Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes.
