Announces Requests for Proposals for CDBG Public Services
Housing & Supportive Services (HSS) is announcing that proposals are being accepted for Community Development Block Grant Public Service projects implemented by the county through contracted services with non-profit agencies or other public service organizations for Program Year (PY) 2025 from September 22, 2025, until October 10, 2025, at 5:00pm.
Responses to this Request for Proposal must be submitted online to the following email: HousingandSupportiveServices@hernandocounty.us.
Public Services activities are funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Eligible Public Services activities under the CDBG program include, but are not limited to, job placement services, workforce training, childcare, mental health, tutoring, fair housing counseling, energy conservation, financial literacy, summer internship program, etc. CDBG Public Services funding can be used for a range of eligible activities that meet the national objectives including labor, supplies, and materials. A workshop to provide technical assistance will be conducted on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Frederick Eugene Lykes Library, 238 Howell Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34601. Please submit all questions prior to 5:00 pm on October 3, 2025, to www.HousingandSupportiveServices@hernandocounty.us.
The total approved allocation for 2025 Public Services is 170,610.45. The minimum amount available for funding is $20,000 and the maximum amount is $45,000. Partial awards may be offered depending on funding availability. Indirect administrative costs are not eligible.
