PUBLIC NOTICE OF
SIGNIFICANT INDUSTRIAL POLLUTION VIOLATION

Listed below are significant industrial wastewater discharge violations of the requirements of Chapter 62-625, Florida Administrative Code, (Pretreatment Requirements for Existing and New Sources of Pollution) and 40 CFR, Part 403, (General Pretreatment Regulations) occurring between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025.

VIOLATION: During the six-month period from April 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025, a total of one daily maximum result exceeded the daily maximum for Total Suspended Solids (TSS) on wastewater sample collected in April 2025. One of the daily maximum results exceeded the Technical Review Criteria (TRC) for TSS, which is 250 mg/L multiplied by a factor of 1.4. Significant Noncompliance exists when 33% or more of all measurements taken exceed the TRC limit in a six-month period as defined in Section 70221 of the City of Oldsmar’s Sewer Use Ordinance.

Significant Noncompliance exists as Hood Container has violated its permit and the provisions in the Sewer Use Ordinance.

COMPLIANCE SCHEDULE: The above-listed facility performed City-mandated re-sampling of process wastewater for TSS, which demonstrated satisfactory removal and compliance. No further compliance schedule is required.

PENALTIES: No penalties have been assessed.
