CITY OF NEW PORT RICHEY
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
RFP26-026 PROPERTY USER-DEVELOPER FOR
MAIN AND BANK BUILDING
The City of New Port Richey is seeking proposals to seek a new vision and use for the Main & Bank Building located in the heart of Historic Downtown at 5640 Main Street. Proposals may include, be but are not limited to, repurposing the building or potential demolition and new structure.
Specifically, the City is looking to add to the vibrancy and revitalization of the Historic Downtown core. The future project should complement the existing businesses downtown, add economic value, connect to Main Street and Railroad Square Phase II, and support more activities and uses to attract additional residents and visitors. As this property represents a key intersection in the Historic Downtown, the City is inviting unique concepts.
Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 P.M. on August 3, 2026 in the City Clerk’s Office, Second Floor, City Hall, 5919 Main Street, New Port Richey, Florida, 34652. Each submission shall contain one (1) original, four (4) copies and one (1) digital USB Drive and must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with the firm’s name and address along with “RFP26-026 PROPERTY USER / DEVELOPER – MAIN & BANK BUILDING.” Any proposals received after the above-mentioned time will not be accepted under any circumstances. Any questions regarding this Request for Proposal shall be submitted in writing to Economic Development Director Dave Gammon at gammond@cityofnewportrichey.org. All questions must be received by 3PM on July 6, 2026. A response to all questions will be issued on Monday, July 13, 2026.
The City of New Port Richey reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses, to waive irregularities, and to re-advertise as may be determined to be in the best interest of the City. The City accepts no responsibility for any response not reaching the prescribed delivery point within the time period stipulated.
