CITY OF NEW PORT RICHEY, FLORIDA
REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS
RFQ26-034 – ADDITIONAL SPECIAL MAGISTRATE SERVICES

Pursuant to the City of New Port Richey Code of Ordinances and Chapter 162, Florida Statutes, the City of New Port Richey seeks and solicits qualifications from licensed Florida attorneys for the purpose of seeking an additional Special Magistrate to provide services in accordance with Ordinance 2013-2008 of the City of New Port Richey’s Code of Ordinances and Chapter 163, Florida Statues. Sealed proposals will be received until 2:00 p.m. on July 6, 2026 in the City Clerk’s Office, Second Floor, City Hall, 5919 Main Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Each submission shall contain one original, one copy and one digital USB Drive and must be clearly marked on the outside of the envelope with the attorney’s name and address along with “RFQ26-034 Additional Special Magistrate Services.” Any proposal received after the above-mentioned time will not be accepted under any circumstances.

Special Magistrates shall serve a term of one (1) year from the date of appointment by the City Council. Special Magistrates may be reappointed at the discretion of City Council. There shall be no limit on the number of terms a person may serve as a Special Magistrate.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to terminate the process at any time, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any submittal, to award in whole or in part to one or more respondents or take any other such actions that may be deemed in the best interest of the City.
