NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Southwest Florida Water Management District (District) intends to convey a perpetual easement, containing approximately 28,364 square feet, and a temporary construction easement, containing approximately 20,914 square feet, over a portion of Folio 050682-0000 within the Jeanie and Pete Johnson Preserve (Project Site) to the Hillsborough County Water Resource Department (WRD) in support of the South Hillsborough Aquifer Recharge Program (SHARP). The District is the fee title owner of the Project Site, and Hillsborough County leases the Project Site for management purposes. This transfer is for a recharge well, in addition to compliance wells and monitoring wells as part of SHARP, and is made in accordance with ELAPP Ordinance 93-16, which requires that the property rights transferred are: (i) not essential to the preservation of the site, (ii) there is an existing legal, permissible procedure to transfer the rights, and (iii) the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners holds a public hearing for consideration and approval of the transfer. These criteria have been met and will be presented to the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners at its regular meeting on September 2, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., in the Frederick B.
